Many are asking whether Audrey Hale, a transgender person from Nashville, Tennessee, has been arrested. The 28-year-old shot and killed six people, including three children, at their former school.

Audrey Hale, 28, identified as male, despite being a transgender individual. According to the police chief, Hale was a former student at the Nashville Christian School, the location of the attack.

Surprisingly, the Nashville resident, Audrey Hale, had no prior criminal record.

According to witnesses and authorities, Hale harbored resentment toward the school, which played a part in the decision to open fire at The Covenant School.

“There’s some belief that there was some resentment for having to go to that school,” stated Metropolitan Nashville Police Chief John Drake to Lester Holt of NBC News.

In a detailed plan that spanned months, the shooter, Audrey Hale, carefully orchestrated the attack, including creating detailed maps and conducting surveillance.

Katherine Koonce, 60, the head of school at Covenant, was among those killed. The shooter breached the school by breaking down a locked gate with gunshots.

Hale’s plans were articulated in a detailed manifesto currently under investigation by local and federal authorities.

The police chief stated that they are looking into the influence of the shooter’s gender on the attack.

It is believed that identifying as transgender might have fueled feelings of resentment and animosity toward the Christian school.

Former school headmaster Bill Campbell recollected Hale as a third-grader in 2005 and a fourth-grader in 2006, citing yearbooks he possesses.

“It’s just an absolute tragedy what’s happened by the former student and what she did to the teachers and students,” said Campbell.

The school administrator from Hale’s student days mentioned that Hale was indistinguishable from other students.

Her presence was not unusual or extraordinary; she was cherished and valued just as much as the other students.

The shooter arrived at the school armed with two AR-style weapons and a handgun, shooting anyone within range.

The six individuals who lost their lives in this tragic incident include three nine-year-old students and three staff members.

Two of the shooter’s weapons were legally obtained in Nashville, as per the police chief.

Fortunately, before the situation escalated, Hale was confronted by five police officers who timely shot at her. Hale was ultimately shot and killed by the officers.

The authorities disclosed that Hale’s writings indicated that The Covenant School wasn’t the killer’s only target.

According to the shooter’s manifesto, additional shootings were planned at different locations. Thanks to the swift action of the officers, more fatalities were averted, according to Nashville Mayor John Cooper.

The three students who tragically lost their lives in this shooting were identified as Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney.

Substitute teacher Cynthia Peak, 61, head of school Katherine Koonce, 60, and custodian Mike Hill, 61, were also among those who perished.

Police mentioned that Hale was transgender, although they did not disclose further details and referred to her as a woman.

Hale was assigned female at birth, but a LinkedIn profile believed to be hers uses he/him pronouns, indicating that Hale lived as a man.
