The scandal involving teachers in Banks County has grabbed headlines in recent times. Allegations have been made against the headmaster and gym teacher at Banks County Elementary School for engaging in intimate activities on school grounds.
Banks County Elementary School is renowned for its educational standards, but a recent investigation by the Banks County Board of Education has uncovered a series of unethical incidents within the school.
An inquiry by the Banks County Board of Education uncovered a long-standing romantic relationship between the principal and the physical education teacher at the elementary school.
The report not only presents evidence of the relationship between Dr. Dana Simmons, the principal of Banks County Elementary School, and PE teacher Dylan Charles, but also contains a photograph depicting inappropriate intimate behavior on the campus.
Verdaillia Turner, President of the Georgia Federation of Teachers, commented, “This should never have occurred. It reflects poor judgment, a lack of integrity, and disrespect for public property.”
The report also includes a confession from Dylan Charles, the accused gym teacher, stating that he and Simmons frequently used the school premises for intimate liaisons.
However, the principal, Simmons, has vehemently denied Charles’s testimony, claiming she has not engaged in intimate activities with him. She added that they had an “inappropriate relationship,” but did not elaborate on its nature.
It has been confirmed by school officials that Simmons and Charles resigned from their positions following the commencement of the investigation.
Also, Kelsey Charles, a 3rd-grade teacher at Banks County Elementary School, tendered her resignation on Wednesday. According to the education board report, she is believed to be Dylan Charles’ spouse.
She informed investigators that she possessed evidence of intimate encounters between her husband and Principal Simmons.
