Brandon Sanderson Books; Four Secret Novels Releasing In 2023

Brandon Sanderson, a novelist based in Utah famous for his contribution to the “Wheel of Time” series, plans to unveil four undisclosed novels within the next two years.

Brandon Sanderson, a prolific writer of fantasy, delivered a remarkable announcement to his supporters today, which is expected to have a significant impact on fantasy and science fiction enthusiasts in 2023.

Sanderson, the writer of a prominent series of fantasy novels established in a singular shared reality known as the Cosmere, asserted that he has completed penning four “additional” full-length books.

Taking advantage of the additional time in his schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic over the past two years.

Sanderson kept the novels confidential from everyone except his family until late last year when he revealed them to his editing and business teams. Three of the books are set in Sanderson’s cosmere universe, while the fourth is “completely unique.”

Instead of opting for a traditional publisher, Sanderson declared that he intends to initiate a Kickstarter campaign to directly offer the books to his fans, with eBooks, audiobooks, and hardcover copies accessible.

All four novels are scheduled to be released in 2023, alongside eight “swag boxes” that will serve as a limited-time subscription package for fans.

The novels are set to be published throughout 2023. The first book will hit the shelves in January 2023. The second book is slated for release in April 2023, and the third book will follow in July 2023. In October 2023, the final book will make its debut.

Sanderson takes pleasure in preserving the enigma. Therefore, the titles and synopses of the books are still undisclosed.

Based on the cover art, assumptions have been formed about the content of the books. The first book seems to revolve around mermaids, and the second book has the vibe of a steampunk wizard. The third book appears to be a mystery centered on being ensnared in portals between realms, while the fourth book is eerie and deals with nuclear war.

Within just three hours, the Kickstarter had amassed approximately $4.7 million, coinciding with a YouTube video unveiling the new novels.

Sanderson is a prolific writer of fantasy and science fiction, best recognized for completing Robert Jordan’s

The Wheel of Time series after his demise and for penning his own fantasy novels with elaborate and diverse magic systems.

Most of Sanderson’s books are located in the Cosmere, which features shared mythology gradually unveiled as the books are published.

While the majority of Sanderson’s Cosmere books can be read as standalone works or as part of a book series, the Cosmere operates as a “cinematic world,” with minor characters from one book series making appearances as minor characters in other series.

The extensive Stormlight Archives series serves as the “core” Cosmere book series, furthering the major plot of the entire Cosmere mythos.
