The exclusive video of Brandon Tsay disarming the Monterey Park gunman has been widely circulated on the internet.

Following his actions in the Monterey Park shooting at a dance club in Alhambra, California, 26-year-old Brandon Tsay has been honored as a hero.

His courageous deeds were captured on video by Tsay’s friend who shared the exclusive footage online, garnering millions of views and earning Tsay admiration from audiences worldwide.

Many have highlighted his remarkable bravery, as well as his exceptional physical prowess, as he managed to overpower the assailant with only a barstool.

The video serves as a reminder to many that one can make a difference in any situation and is an inspiration to those seeking role models in today’s society.

Tsay informed Lester Holt of NBC, “There was a moment I actually froze up because I was, I had the belief that I was going to die, like my life was ending here, at that very moment.”

Moments after the assailant claimed 11 lives and left at least nine others injured at the Lai Lai Ballroom & Studio in Alhambra, California, an individual can be seen disarming the suspect in the video, attempting to prevent further casualties at a different dance hall in the Monterey Park shooting.

In a chilling video obtained by NBC, the men were grappling in what appeared to be the empty lobby of the dance hall.

An armed individual clad in black attire and a hat is engaged in a struggle with Tsay as they vie for control of the weapon around 30 seconds later. Tsay successfully wrests the firearm away during the ensuing scuffle.

Tsay was observed brandishing the weapon when the assailant struck him on the head. After another altercation between the two, he managed to push the assailant away. Despite the assailant’s attempts to reach for the gun, he ultimately desisted and exited the room.

Tsay then pointed at the assailant while briefly disappearing from the camera’s view and reappearing, holding the firearm in his right hand and a cell phone in his left. The entire incident lasted approximately four minutes.

According to the description, the firearm is a semi-automatic assault handgun.

Upon finally gaining control of the firearm, Tsay had to use the threat of shooting the assailant before he fled to the white van. He promptly contacted the police.

“I thought he would run away, but he was just standing there contemplating whether to fight or to run,” Tsay recounted.

“When he came in, he said nothing,” he said. “His face was very stoic. His expressions were mostly in his eyes — looking around trying to find people, trying to scout the area for other people.”

Tsay alleged that the assailant—later identified as Huu Can Tran, 72—entered the premises with the intention of perpetrating further violence.

Following a search that concluded approximately 30 miles away, the assailant tragically succumbed to a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Sunday.

The motive behind the mass shooting on Saturday night remains unknown. Authorities stated on Monday that it appeared to be a personal matter.
