Brittany Eldridge Killing
On Tuesday, 13 December 2011, Brittany’s partner, Norman Eugene Clark, contacted Eldrige’s mother and requested her to check on his girlfriend, who was pregnant with their son named Ezekiel and had not shown up for work.
Both were employees at the same company, and Brittany resided at the Cross Creek apartment complex off Western Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States.
With their work responsibilities beginning at 8:30 AM, Brittany was a no-show, prompting Clark to ask his mother to check on her.
Robin arrived at Brittany’s residence to find the door unlocked. Upon entering, she sensed that something was amiss.
She refrained from progressing further, exited the premises, and promptly contacted 911. When the operator answered her call, she mentioned that her daughter’s apartment was in disarray.
During their conversation, the operator instructed Robin to return to the apartment and ascertain Brittany’s whereabouts. It was during this return that Robin found Brittany’s unclothed body on the floor.
A pool of blood surrounded her, an immensely distressing sight for Owens. According to reports, she had been strangled to death, with two stab wounds discovered on her neck, resulting in significant blood loss.
Brittany Eldridge Autopsy Findings
Following the incident, Brittany’s body was entrusted to the Medical Examiner to determine the precise cause of her death. The medical findings were not immediately disclosed.
Upon the release of the medical report by the Examiner, it was revealed that Brittany had been deceased for over twelve hours.
The autopsy report depicted bruises on her chest and head. Severe injuries were identified in her throat, indicating stabbings and strangulation. The official cause of death, as stipulated in the autopsy report, was “death by strangulation.”
Brittany was pregnant at the time of her murder, and her son had perished concurrently. Her son’s cause of death was attributed to intrauterine asphyxia, and his demise, alongside his mother’s, was classified as a homicide.
Law Enforcement Investigation of Brittany Eldridge Homicide
Upon receiving news of Brittany Eldrige’s demise, the authorities initiated an inquiry at her place of residence. The investigation yielded no evidence of forced entry, as the door’s lock remained intact, but the scene inside the apartment bore semblance to an attempted burglary.
Upon learning of his girlfriend’s demise, Norman promptly proceeded to her apartment, where the police took him in for questioning.
Robin was questioned about Norman’s conduct towards his girlfriend. She relayed that while he was initially amiable, his behavior became confrontational upon learning of Brittany’s pregnancy.
Norman claimed he had not been present at her apartment on 12 December, the same night the police suspected her murder. He admitted to having quarreled with her and disregarded her messages.
He also stated his desire to meet his girlfriend on the night of 12 December, but instead returned home. He claimed that later that night, he went to Leann Hawn’s residence, and police discovered that Norman was involved with several women.
Identification of Brittany Eldridge’s Murderer
According to reports, Brittany’s partner, Norman Clark, is the prime suspect in her killing. Eldrige was carrying an 8 ½-month-old child at the time of her demise.
Norman Clark is presently undergoing trial for the murder of his pregnant girlfriend, Brittany Eldrige.
