Curtis Durrell Straughter: The 10th Murder Victim Of Dahmer

Curtis Durrell Straughter was the 10th victim of the cannibalistic serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, who was completely obsessed with boys and young men.

On April 6, 1973, Curtis Durrell Straughter was born. He was a vibrant young man with the whole world ahead of him, living with his grandmother.

After losing his job as a nursing assistant, Curtis aspired to become a model and finish college.

On February 18, 1991, the 17-year-old Curtis Durrell Straughter was waiting at a bus stop outside Marquette University when he first encountered Curtis Durell Straughter.

The infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer was well-known for his atrocious deeds and monstrous nature during his lifetime.

Despite being a cheerful and joyful child at first, Jeffrey became quieter over time, losing interest, becoming tense, and withdrawing.

Jeffrey Dahmer gradually lured 11 victims to his apartment through various encounters in the city, homosexual bars, malls, and at bus stops.

Most of them were young, unmarried males seeking entertainment, along with a runaway and a few free spirits. They were offered payment if they agreed to pose for photos, watch sex films with a companion with sandy hair and brown eyes, and have drinks served to them.

Regardless of their initial beliefs, Dahmer revealed himself as a butcher who subjected them to a grim fate, drugging their drinks with sleeping pills, strangling them, dismembering their bodies, and keeping their heads and other body parts in his apartment.

The families of the victims struggle to comprehend how their loved ones could have voluntarily been lured in. One piece of information comes from a man who escaped Dahmer’s clutches and reported to authorities.

The former employee of Ambrosia Chocolate Co., 31-year-old Dahmer, confessed to killing 11 people in his apartment, and authorities suspect he may have killed another six. Dahmer, an alcoholic and convicted child molester, assaulted a youngster in 1989 who belonged to one of his victims.

The ages of those killed in the apartment ranged from 14 to 33. Nine were black, one Laotian, and one white, according to the police.

What Transpired Between Jeffery Dahmer and Curtis Durrell Straughter?

Straughter was reportedly enticed to Dahmer’s apartment with the promise of sexual activity and money in exchange for posing for nude photos.

After being drugged by Dahmer, Straughter had his hands chained behind his back and was strangled with a leather strap. Dahmer then dissected Straughter, capturing each step on camera, and kept only his hands, genitalia, and head.

Straughter was Dahmer’s 10th victim. During the trial, Dorothy Straughter, Curtis Durrell Straughter’s mother, delivered a victim impact statement, lamenting the fact that she would never see her adolescent son again.

Following the trial, Jeffrey was transferred to the Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin, where he allegedly adapted well to prison life.

On September 8, 1986, it was discovered that Dahmer had been caught masturbating in front of two 12-year-old boys near the Kinnickinnic River. He was then arrested on charges of indecent and lascivious behavior.

Initially, he claimed he was only urinating and didn’t realize there were witnesses, though he later confessed to the crime. The charge was later changed to disorderly conduct on March 10, 1987, and Dahmer was sentenced to a year of probation, with the additional requirement of attending treatment.
