Danileigh Car Accident: What Happened To Danileigh?

DaniLeigh, the stage persona of American vocalist, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and choreographer Danielle Leigh Curiel, was born on December 20, 1994.

DaniLeigh has been engaged in professional performances since that time. Upon commencing as a backup dancer, Curiel launched her career by posting cover versions of popular tunes on YouTube.

Following her move to Los Angeles, she initiated producing dance routines for other performers and continuously pursued her dancing career.

Her collaboration with Prince in the music video for his track “Breakfast Can Wait” was a significant turning point in her professional journey.

In 2017, DaniLeigh was awarded a recording contract by Def Jam Records, and in the same year, she began releasing mixtapes and songs.

When Curiel was merely 18 years old, Prince presented her with the chance to direct the music videos for his hit “Breakfast Can Wait.” Following the victory of the video, Prince remained a mentor to DaniLeigh up until his passing in 2016. In 2015, her debut single “D.O.S.E.” was released, while 2017 witnessed her first commercially successful hit, “Play.”

This latest record, featuring the Mexican-American rapper Kap G, serves as an empowering song for Latino women and men.

In 2017, she released her first extended play (E.P.), Summer with Friends, after signing with Def Jam Records.

The subsequent year, she launched The Plan, which encompasses guest appearances from rap artists such as YG, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby, and Y.B.N. Nahmir.

She introduced several new tunes, including “Easy,” a remix featuring vocals from singer Chris Brown, and “Lil Bebe,” a remix featuring vocals from Lil Baby.

These versions were presented as remixes. Additionally, she made a cameo in the music videos for “Hot Girl Summer” by Megan Thee Stallion.

In 2019, she served as DaBaby’s choreographer for the music video “B.O.P. on Broadway.”

She was compelled to issue an apology in January 2021 after posting an excerpt of a song titled “Yellow Bone” on social media. The segment of the tune was considered offensive as it advocated colorism.
