Massachusetts witnessed a horrific double murder in Duxbury, resulting in the deaths of two children and hospitalization of an infant.

Following an incident at a home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, a 5-year-old girl and a 3-year-old child were killed, and an 8-month-old son was taken to a Boston hospital.

As per the authorities, the incident transpired on Tuesday at a Duxbury residence.

On Tuesday night, Tim Cruz, the district attorney for Plymouth County, announced that two children, aged 3 and 5, had succumbed to their injuries after being conveyed to a hospital.

An airlift was also dispatched to a Boston hospital to attend to an 8-month-old boy who had sustained injuries.

Shortly before 6:15 p.m., a male occupant of a house on Summer Street dialed 911, claiming that a woman had attempted suicide. The woman was transported to a hospital on Tuesday night and is currently under medical care.

When asked if the woman was being treated as a suspect, Cruz declined to categorize anyone. According to Cruz, the police discovered the three children unconscious with evident signs of trauma.

According to the authorities, there is no public threat. Cruz stated, “This is an incomprehensible, nonsensical tragedy, and an ongoing investigation is underway.”

The identities of those involved have not been disclosed. Authorities are making efforts to notify relatives.

As per Cruz, the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of the children’s deaths.
