In the viral footage, he is depicted engaging in same-s*x relations with another man. Dawkins, a native of New York, is well-known for being a missionary teacher and preacher. He has three sons with his wife, Tamia Dawkins.
With the revelation that the well-known married preacher, who frequently preached against homosexuality, appeared in an adult film with a male, the internet was in disbelief.
Since then, he has faced a lot of criticism and has been labeled a hypocrite.
Dwayne Dawkins Addressed The Leaked Video
Former pastor Dwayne Dawkins has spoken out about the leaked film for the first time and disclosed that he even contemplated suicide after being exposed in an adult tape that was hacked many months ago.
He has now gained notoriety on the internet. He detailed the production of the film and the repercussions of the sex tape’s release through his secretive connection.
The 14-year pastor of Praise Tabernacle International, who frequently condemned same-s*x behavior from the pulpit, admitted to meeting a “sneaky link” and being aware that their sexual encounter would be recorded; he simply assumed the tape wouldn’t be leaked.
The pastor claimed that upon learning that the video had gone viral online, he pleaded with the man to remove it.
The man never responded and eventually blocked his phone number. They haven’t communicated, according to the pastor, since the event.
Pastor Dawkins explained that despite being married with three children, he had always grappled with bis*xual inclinations and felt shame about it.
‘I had bonded with someone of the same gender and I’ve dealt with bisexual impulses since childhood and even up to this point,’ he stated.
‘As you can imagine, I didn’t get any rest that night. My wife and I have three wonderful sons. At that time, I had been the pastor of a church in South Florida for 14 years, and I had family and loved ones around me.’
Pastor Dawkins continued by saying that while the experience made him contemplate suicide, he ultimately chose to keep living for his children.
He resigned as a pastor after the video went viral and was shunned by the church and his community.
He mentioned that he has seen approximately three therapists and that his spiritual leadership has been involved in his journey, even though he admitted that he is still recovering from what had transpired. He has resumed his teaching career as well as his side businesses.
