Dwayne Haskins Autopsy Report Revealed The Truth Behind His Brutal Death

The truth behind the tragic death of Dwayne Haskins was unveiled in his autopsy report. His demise occurred on 9 April 2022 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the rest of the NFL were shocked by the tragic passing of quarterback Dwayne Haskins last month, and the details revealed in Monday’s autopsy report only added to the shock.

The report unveiled that Haskins was legally drunk, with a blood alcohol content of 0.20, when he was struck and killed on Interstate 595 near Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport just before dawn on April 9.

This amount was 2.5 times the legal limit for driving in Florida. The Steelers are aware of the report but declined to provide further comment, as per CBS Pittsburgh.

On the other hand, Florida Highway Patrol reports that the investigation into the accident is still ongoing, considering that crash reports typically take 90 days to be finalized.

The toxicology report of the late Ohio State University football star and Heisman Trophy winner, Maurice Haskins, revealed a concerning level of alcohol in the hours before his death.

According to the University of California-Davis, at 230 pounds, he would have needed to consume at least ten drinks to reach that level of intoxication.

Additionally, the report indicated the presence of ketamine and its metabolite norketamine in his system.

While these drugs are often prescribed for medical purposes, they can also be misused for recreational purposes. Unfortunately, it is unknown why Haskins ingested this substance before his passing.

The sudden death of Haskins was a jolt to his team and the public. Reports indicated that his car had run out of gas near the area where he was tragically struck by two vehicles.

It was mentioned that Haskins had gone to get fuel, but as he tried to flag down cars for help, he was standing in the center lane when he was hit.

The medical examiner deemed it an accident, and although there were signs of potential substance use, the Steelers confirmed that he had no mental health issues or any history of suicidal threats.

Furthermore, apart from alcohol and marijuana, Haskins was not known to use other recreational drugs.

Regardless of the exact circumstances leading up to this tragic incident, there is no denying that this is a heartbreaking event with a devastating outcome.

Dwayne Haskins had been in South Florida for several days training with some of his Steelers teammates.

After spending the night having dinner and then presumably heading to a club with a friend or cousin, an argument ensued, and they went their separate ways.

As the night ended, he called his wife back at home in Pittsburgh to inform her that he had run out of gas.

She became increasingly concerned when he failed to return any more calls or answer hers, culminating in her praying on a 911 dispatcher’s recording as she waited for them to put someone back on the line and give her an update.

They advised her to stay on the line for communication from the appropriate authorities.

While many anticipated rookie sensation Dwayne Haskins to take the NFL by storm after a remarkable 2018 season at Ohio State, it didn’t quite pan out that way.

That year, he threw for 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns, setting 16 school records and earning MVP awards for the Big Ten Championship game as well as Ohio State’s Rose Bowl win against Washington.

However, an unfortunate 3-10 overall record over two seasons with Washington that followed led to his departure from the team, eventually getting picked up by Pittsburgh on a developmental contract.

Although he didn’t make any starts last season, the former Buckeye standout still has ample time to showcase his remarkable college plays and make a mark among the NFL elite.
