Eleanor Williams’ parents deceived the world just as much as their daughter did. Eleanor, a 22-year-old woman, fabricated a story about being assaulted by an Asian grooming gang.

In simple terms, Eleanor is a delusional and attention-seeking individual who made false assault claims to gain attention from everyone.

Fortunately, the court uncovered Eleanor’s deceitful actions and revealed that she had been lying all along.

As a consequence of her appalling actions, she was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison.

Eleanor was found guilty of eight counts of perverting the course of justice after a trial that concluded in January, having previously admitted one count.

The charges arose after Williams accused multiple men over a period of three years of assaulting and trafficking her.

Instead of condemning her daughter’s horrid actions, Allison, Eleanor’s mother, spoke in support of her and stated that by making such claims, Eleanor was just seeking attention.

Following her daughter’s final verdict, Allison said, “I’m devastated. I can’t describe it. I still can’t grasp it, really. It just doesn’t feel real. The person the press is portraying is not the person I know.”

Allison admitted her daughter told lies but added: “I believe she was just looking for attention.”

Furthermore, over a thousand people donated to ‘JustGiving for Eleanor Williams’ after she described being beaten, abused, and trafficked in Barrow, Cumbria on Facebook.

The donations were made to help the alleged victim pay her legal bills. These contributions amounted to £22,000, which is still with Eleanor’s mother.

Even after her daughter’s sentencing, she has made no announcement regarding the money she collected in donations.

Williams’ sister, Lucy, also spoke out about the ordeal.

Like her mother, she acknowledges that the 22-year-old fabricated stories about the men who were forced to defend themselves against the false claims in court, but she does believe that other people were involved.

Lucy claims Williams received ‘constant’ and ‘very strange’ phone messages and threatening snaps on Snapchat.

In sentencing remarks broadcast on television, Honorary Recorder of Preston Judge Robert Altham said: ‘It is troubling, to say the least, that she shows no significant signs of remorse.

There is no explanation for why the defendant made the allegations, which he described as ‘complete fiction.’

He added: ‘Unless and until the defendant chooses to say why she has told these lies we will not know.’
