Her father, Ajit Singh Randhawa, and mother, Raj Kaur Randhawa, had migrated from Punjab, India, in the 1960s and went on to operate a thriving clothing store on the opposite side of America’s racial divide.
Their collective guidance in teaching her to focus on similarities rather than differences has been a driving force throughout Haley’s life and career.
