Chandra Janway, the spouse of Nascar icon Jimmie Johnson, has faced a series of tragic occurrences as three additional family members have passed away years after her brother’s sudden demise.
Muskogee police have verified that Chandra Janway’s parents and nephew tragically lost their lives in a fatal shooting that took place on Monday shortly after 9 PM.
At present, officers are investigating the shootings as a potential homicide and suicide.
Upon arrival at the scene, police found Jack Janway’s body midway to the family’s residence in Oklahoma.
Terry Janway and her 11-year-old grandson Dalton Janway were also discovered deceased.
Law enforcement is now considering Terry Janway as a suspect, although they have not established a motive.
Jordan Janway Passed Away in a Skydiving Tragedy
Remembering his brother-in-law, Johnson stated that the 27-year-old possessed a profound love for adventure, having successfully completed over 1,000 jumps throughout his career.
He met his end in a skydiving accident.
Several news outlets reported that he had collided with another skydiver in mid-air, which rendered him unconscious and prevented him from deploying his parachute.
This tragic incident occurred on Sunday, March 30, 2014, in San Diego, California.
Jordan was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, on December 2, 1986. He was born to Lynn and Jack Janway.
After completing high school, Jordan pursued his education at Northeastern State College before relocating to Chicago for his basic training.
However, he moved to San Diego, where he served with the U.S. Maritime Special Warfare from 2007 to 2008.
During his time in San Diego, he acquired the skill of skydiving and wholeheartedly dedicated himself to this sport.
Jordan excelled as a master parachute rigger and a free-fall instructor for Tactical Air Operations.
Furthermore, Jordan Janway served as a camera operator, coach, and tandem instructor for Skydive San Diego.
Fondly referred to as “Jordo” by his friends, he delved into wingsuit base jumping, which sparked his passion for true flight.
His travels took him worldwide, leaping from mountaintops, with Switzerland being his favorite destination.
Jordan actively participated in the testing of new tracking and wingsuit designs utilizing ram-air technology and also excelled as an aerial photographer.
Most importantly, he was a man who fearlessly pursued his dreams and embraced life without boundaries.
As an exceptional child, sibling, and uncle, he left an indelible mark on the people around him.
Jordan Janway’s obituary noted that the memorial service commemorating the life of Jordan was held on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at 05:00 PM.
The service was held at the Butterfly House and Gardens located in Honor Heights Park, Muskogee, Oklahoma. Reverend Cindy Culver presided over the ceremony.
Instead of floral tributes, the family kindly requested that memorial contributions be directed to CASA for Children of Muskogee, PO Box 1274, Muskogee, OK 74402.
The Bradley Family Funeral Service will oversee the funeral arrangements.
