Kaylee Hunt also joined the rest of Tennessee in enjoying the delightful riverside climate.

On Saturday, Kaylee Hunt, a dedicated softball player, perished in a dreadful boating accident. She was only 10 years old.

The investigative work is still ongoing. Authorities are still seeking evidence of what transpired on the Tennessee River in Decatur County.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency only recorded one additional fatality following Kaylee’s accidental drowning.

The team and coaches for Kaylee’s squad entered the field wearing her number seven jersey prior to the Tennessee Dixie State Championship Tournament on Friday in Dickson.

The tournament’s attendees and family members applauded and observed a moment of silence in solidarity with Collinwood over the tragic loss of Kaylee.

Kaylee was posthumously inducted into the Dixie Youth Hall of Fame on Friday, and her name is now linked to the 10U sportsmanship award.
