Keisha Morris and Tupac Shakur

Keisha revealed in XXL magazine during an interview that their first encounter, which involved the two discussing Pac’s legal issues, was nothing really special.

Tupac informed Morris that after meeting her, he spent the following month visiting various bars in the hopes of encountering her.

After they encountered each other again, Tupac invited her to his hotel room. However, Keisha absolutely declined his offer.

The rapper, however, knew immediately what he wanted.

Tupac Shakur then provided Keisha his phone number, and since she didn’t have one, she gave him her address.

“I had to go to work the next day… When I got home, he called me. I was in shock!” Keisha Morris recounted, “From that day on, we started talking.”

Tupac, on the other hand, was smitten with her, and people around him noticed significant changes in his demeanor.

When their budding romance came to an abrupt halt, Tupac was suddenly accused of first-degree sexual assault in 1993.

He was sentenced to a term ranging from 1.5 to 4.5 years in prison.

Unfortunately, when Morris’ husband was incarcerated, they filed for divorce in 1996, just seven months after Tupac was released from prison.

Despite the high-profile nature of the case, Keisha remained close to the artist until his death.

Tupac and Keisha’s brief marriage was dissolved ten months later, although the two remained in contact until Tupac’s death a year later.

Offspring

Tupac and Morris never had any offspring. However, in an interview after Shakur’s demise, Keisha Morris revealed surprising secrets about her relationship with the rapper, Tupac Shakur.

“When Tupac expressed his desire to have children, his publicist and close friend Karen Lee was surprised to see how much Tupac had changed,” recounted Morris.

“He’d never mentioned marriage or children to her before. Tupac selected names for our daughter Star and our son Michelangelo after he moved to Arizona,” she added.

“I liked Star, but not Michelangelo; we desired to start a family, but Tupac’s marijuana use impacted us. Tupac also had visions of our future,” Keisha Morris stated.

After Divorce

When Tupac was released from prison, things quickly soured despite her efforts. “Things were drastically different once he was released on bail, and I felt like I wasn’t needed anymore,” confessed Keisha.

Tupac was shot on September 7, 1996, while stopped at a traffic signal in a Las Vegas intersection. He was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries six days later.

Tupac Shakur was only 25 years old when he passed away. At the time, he was in a relationship with Kidada Jones, the daughter of Quincy Jones and sister of actress Rashida Jones.

According to a 1997 Vanity Fair article, Tupac and his girlfriend were planning a trip to Hawaii and had also discussed starting a family while Tupac was in New York for the MTV Awards in September.
