Notwithstanding their father’s infamous reputation, the children of Larry Nassar continue to lead their lives away from public scrutiny.
Larry Nassar, also known as Lawrence Gerard Nassar, was born on August 16, 1963, in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
He gained notoriety as an American convicted serial child molester and a former sports medicine physician.
During his 18-year tenure as a sports and gymnastics doctor, Nassar served as the team doctor for the United States women’s national gymnastics team.
However, instead of fulfilling his duty to care for athletes, he shamefully exploited his position, deceiving and sexually assaulting numerous children and young women.
The USA Gymnastics Sexual Abuse Scandal
Nassar’s atrocious acts of sexual abuse towards young girls and women led to the emergence of the USA Gymnastics sexual abuse scandal in 2015.
Shockingly, it was revealed that Nassar had sexually assaulted at least 265 young women and girls under the pretense of providing medical treatment.
Among his victims were Olympic and United States women’s national gymnastics team gymnasts, which further heightened the gravity of the scandal.

Judicial Ramifications
Justice caught up with Nassar as he faced multiple charges and subsequent sentences for his despicable actions.
On July 11, 2017, he pleaded guilty to child pornography and tampering with evidence charges.
As a result, on December 7, 2017, Nassar received a federal prison sentence of 60 years.
Additionally, on January 24, 2018, he was sentenced in Ingham County to an additional 40 to 175 years in Michigan State Prison after pleading guilty to seven counts of sexual assault.
Furthermore, on February 5, 2018, Nassar faced another sentence of 40 to 125 years in Michigan State Prison after pleading guilty to three counts of sexual assault in Eaton County.
The judge overseeing the federal case ordered that Nassar’s state prison sentences run consecutively with his federal sentence, ensuring a de facto life imprisonment without parole.
An Aggressive Incident
In July 2023, Larry Nassar once again made headlines for an unfortunate incident that took place in the federal prison where he is serving his lengthy sentence.
On Sunday, July 9, 2023, an altercation with another inmate at the United States Penitentiary Coleman resulted in Nassar being stabbed multiple times.
The attack targeted Nassar, who is already serving hundreds of years for sexually assaulting gymnasts, including gold medal-winning Olympians.
Although he sustained injuries to his back and chest, Nassar was reported to be in stable condition as of Monday, July 10, 2023.

Larry Nassar has been blessed with three children: Ryan Nassar, his son, and two daughters named Katelyn Nassar and Caroline Nassar.
Larry Nassar’s children were born during Larry’s marriage to his ex-wife, Stephanie Nassar, from 1996 to 2017.
Unfortunately, the couple’s relationship took a tumultuous turn when Larry was arrested on suspicion of sexual crimes.
Consequently, Stephanie was granted a divorce in July 2017 and gained full custody of their three children.
