Natali Tene Accuses Mario Batali of S*xual Assault

Mario Batali, a famed chef and restaurateur, was accused of indecently assaulting Natali Tene in 2017 for forcibly kissing her and groping her against her will.

She alleged that Batali kissed her forcefully and touched her private parts.

Mario was accused of grabbing Natali and kissing her while trying to take a selfie at a restaurant in Boston.

She confessed that she was unable to resist because she felt dizzy and weak.

They took several pictures together at his request, but he seemed inebriated, spoke with a slur, and had his eyes closed.

Tene testified in court on May 9, 2022, after Batali’s trial, stating that she was unable to defend herself due to the rapid nature of the events.

‘Mario Batali had been drinking that evening,’ she added.

Mario Batali’s legal team informed the court that Natali Tene was fabricating the incident to extort money from him.

The Reality of the Allegations

Defense attorneys recounted a conversation Tene had with her partner about the incident.

Her partner advised her ‘to embellish the story during the aforementioned text exchange.

Natali Tene responded, saying, ‘Of course, I will do that.’

The highly anticipated exposure of Mario Batali to charges of grooming and s*xual assault began in Boston.

In 2019, Batali asserted that he was not at fault for forcefully grabbing and kissing a woman after taking photos with her at a restaurant in Boston in 2017.

The Trial

Due to Batali waiving his right to a preliminary jury before a selected authority to adjudicate his fate, the initial round of proceedings took place.

Tene also disclosed that the 2017 incident left her feeling humiliated until she learned about other women who had similar encounters with Batali.

Natali acknowledged that there was a three-minute gap in several of the photos.

However, she insisted that the entire encounter had caught her off guard and that Batali had ‘touched my buttocks in this picture in one of the photos of the two standing side by side.

Mario Batali was accused of s*xually assaulting Natali Tene, 32, at the age of 59 at that time.

According to thedailybeast.com, Tene reportedly told the appointed authority that the alleged incident began when Batali noticed her taking his picture and invited her to join him.

Additionally, she asserted that Batali’s eyes were closed in most of the pictures and that ‘this person was inebriated at the time,’

Tene stated in court that the incident was ‘like a selfie, but there were other things happening all the while,’ as Batali kept urging her to ‘take another one.’

‘There is no pleasant picture here. This has nothing to do with photos at all. This is him groping, grabbing, and demanding, ‘one more, one more, but his hand is now on my private area.’ Tene remarked,

Tene continued, suggesting that Batali was pressing against her genitalia by saying that he ‘understood me in a way… I’ve never been touched that way.’

In connection with the case, Batali was charged with indecent battery and assault in 2019 and entered a plea of not guilty.

If found guilty, he could face up to two and a half years in prison and would be required to register as a sex offender.
