A fresh pair has appeared early in the new year, as Bachelorette alumnus Blake Horstmann is presently in a relationship with Love Is Blind personality Giannina Gibelli.
An insider tells PEOPLE exclusively Bachelorette alumnus Blake Horstmann and Love Is Blind actress Giannina Gibelli are “romantically involved after recently meeting.“
“They’re taking things slowly,” the insider continues. “However [they] seem really pleased together.“
The news of the recent romance between Horstmann and Gibelli, comes after the duo recently acknowledged dating speculations. Sharp-eyed fans have noticed that the pair has shared photos with identical backgrounds on social media.
Horstmann posted a photo of his New Year’s Eve festivities at Mile High Spirits in his native Colorado, posing happily in front of several barrels. Underneath his post, Gibelli’s Love Is Blind co-star Kelly Chase wished him a “happy new year.”
Gibelli then uploaded her picture featuring similar-looking barrels the following day, expressing in the caption that she’s “about to step into the best year of my life.”
The reality star also posted several photos to Instagram on Dec. 28, showing that she was heading to a destination with a colder climate. “when Miami goes to the mountains,” she captioned the shots.
In addition, a fan pointed out the location similarities of Horstmann and Gibelli’s New Year’s Eve Instagram Story posts. The account also saw Gibelli post a photo from Horstmann’s bed to her Instagram Story on New Year’s Day.
Horstmann was first introduced to audiences as a contestant on Becca Kufrin’s Bachelorette season.
After finishing the season as a runner-up to Kufrin’s now ex-fiancé Garrett Yrigoyen, Horstmann caused quite a commotion on Bachelor in Paradise in 2019 due to his pre-show relationships with castmates Caelynn Miller-Keyes, Kristina Schulman, and Hannah Godwin. He later left the show in week 5.
Horstmann confirmed on Taylor Nolan’s Let’s Talk About It podcast the following year that he’s “seeing somebody” but they’re “keeping it private.” He has not provided any updates on that relationship since the interview.
As for Gibelli, she appeared on Love Is Blind in 2020. She met and fell in love with contestant Damian Powers, to whom she got engaged.
In the season finale, Powers, 30, told Gibelli that he couldn’t marry her at the altar, but they remained together nonetheless.
It was later revealed in 2021’s Love Is Blind: After the Alter special that the pair were dealing with problems in their relationship, partly aggravated by Powers’ close bond with Too Hot to Handle’s Francesca Farago.
In August, Gibelli confirmed to that she’s no longer with Powers. “I am officially single,” she revealed to the news outlet. “Me and Damian haven’t been dating for a couple of months now.”
Gibelli also added that she’s “moved on” from Powers and feels “really, really good.”
“I’m definitely in a really good place in my life,” she said.
