Waukegan police are seeking assistance in locating Seamus Gray, a 21-year-old U.S. Navy member who has vanished since early Saturday morning without a trace.
Reportedly, Seamus was at Naval Station Great Lakes on Friday night before heading to Waukegan to participate in the St. Patrick’s Day festivities — but no one heard from him thereafter.
If anyone has recent information about his disappearance, they should promptly reach out to local police.
Detectives have found important video evidence showing Gray leaving Ibiza Bar in Waukegan alone. He was last sighted at the Sheridan Road and Washington Street intersection at 1:40 a.m. on Saturday.
In response, the Waukegan Police and Fire Departments have conducted a thorough search of the area around Ibiza Bar as well as the lakefront, but have not been able to locate Gray.
After conversing with Gray’s mother, who traveled to Waukegan from out of town to aid in the search for her son, CBS 2’s Jermont Terry reported that she had seen the surveillance footage from the bar.
At present, detectives are treating this as a missing persons case only.
Gray’s situation has become increasingly worrying due to additional video of a confrontation involving her son and a group of people.
The incident was captured by security cameras, and Gray has yet to be located since his disappearance last Thursday.
His family continues the frantic search for him, meticulously combing the area in hopes of finding him or clues that could lead to his whereabouts.
Without any news from his naval base, Gray’s mother fears the worst as each passing day goes by without any trace of her beloved son.
A manhunt is underway for Gray, who is wanted in multiple states, and his mother has mentioned that the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is also involved in the case.
He stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs around 170 pounds; he has blue eyes, brown hair and multiple tattoos on his left arm, with a script tattoo on his ribcage.
On the day of his disappearance, he was last seen wearing a light pink or red long sleeve shirt paired with trousers.
