Sienna Sauce Net Worth: From Homelessness to Million-Dollar Sales

The scorching triumph tale of a family business is certain to leave you yearning for more, particularly after the mother-daughter team’s appearance on Season 12 of Shark Tank led to a substantial increase in Sienna Sauce wealth.

Sienna Sauce, the brainchild of young businesswoman Tyla-Simone Crayton, has taken the culinary world by storm.

What commenced as a quest to create the perfect chicken wing sauce has now evolved into a flourishing business empire. At just 17 years old, Tyla-Simone has already accomplished what most experienced entrepreneurs aspire to achieve – building a six-figure empire.

The journey to success for Sienna Sauce began when Tyla-Simone, at the tender age of eight, started experimenting with sauces after her favorite wing spot closed down.

It was during their family “wing and wine Wednesdays” in their Brooklyn apartment that Tyla-Simone and her mother, Monique Crayton, realized they had something truly special on their hands.

Their homemade sauce became a hit in their neighborhood in Sienna Plantation, Texas, where they sold wings with the signature sauce, which also boomed Sienna Sauce wealth.

Encouraged by their success, Tyla-Simone and her mother decided to bottle the sauce in 2018, setting their sights on the larger market.

Their moment in the limelight came when they appeared on the hit TV show “Shark Tank” in 2021.

With the endorsement of the investors and the growing demand for their product, Sienna Sauce has expanded its distribution to major retailers nationwide.

Let’s delve further into the triumphant journey of the mother-daughter, the expansion of their business, and their experience with the shark tank.

The Inception of Sienna Sauce

Sienna Sauce is a versatile and flavorful concoction created by Tyla-Simone Crayton and her mother, Monique.

The sauce was named after their hometown, Sienna Plantation, Texas. The journey of Sienna Sauce began in 2017 when the Craytons launched a pop-up restaurant out of their home, serving their homemade sauce on chicken wings.

Overcoming numerous challenges in the early days, Tyla-Simone Crayton embarked on her entrepreneurial journey with Sienna Sauce.

For three years, this distinct sauce has fostered a deep connection with its consumers, becoming a beloved household favorite.

To support her daughter’s dream, Monique Crayton made the brave decision to leave her job, standing firmly by Tyla-Simone’s side.

Their unwavering dedication and teamwork laid the groundwork for Sienna Sauce’s success.

Within a mere eight months of its launch, Sienna Sauce was selling between 700 and 1,000 wings every Friday night, a testament to the overwhelming love and demand it garnered from customers.

Empowered by this response, Tyla-Simone, even at the tender age of 8, became a budding entrepreneur, utilizing the $1,500 her mother provided to purchase bottles and labels. With determination and passion, she diligently crafted sauces every Sunday, packaging them for sale to eager customers.

The growing recognition of Sienna Sauce led to an opportunity for Tyla-Simone to appear on a local TV channel in Texas, providing a platform for her business to thrive.

Shark Tank presentation, The investment & negotiations

In 2021, Tyla decided to take her chances on the popular television show “Shark Tank” to secure investment and propel her business further.

During their “Shark Tank” pitch, Tyla-Simone and Monique requested $100,000 for a 10% equity stake in the company.

Sienna Sauce had already achieved impressive sales of $255,000 and was available in 68 stores.

However, most of the Sharks were hesitant due to the competition in the sauce category and the company’s lack of distribution.

Kendra Scott, a jewelry designer and businesswoman, was the only investor interested in making a deal.

She offered $100,000 for a 20% stake in Sienna Sauce. Tyla-Simone wanted to negotiate, but the other Sharks interrupted, and she ultimately accepted Scott’s offer.

Some fans expressed dissatisfaction with Scott’s actions, accusing her of “bullying” the Craytons into the deal and suggesting that the terms might have been different if the company was white-owned.

However, despite the deal on “Shark Tank,” Tyla-Simone revealed that they had not yet received the $100,000 investment.

The delay was due to ongoing due diligence, and the investment had not been finalized. In the meantime, the Craytons took matters into their own hands and started raising capital, gathering over $102,234.

Despite the investment delay, Sienna Sauce has continued to flourish.

Where is Siennea Sauce now? Are they still in business?

Sienna Sauce stands out from other sauces due to its versatility and use of real ingredients. Made with honey instead of high fructose corn syrup, the sauce is also gluten-free.

While some customers find the sauce slightly runnier than expected, it receives high praise for its exceptional flavor and versatility.

Sienna Sauce is currently found in popular stores such as Target, Wegmans, H-E-B, and World Market.

The honey-based sauce comes in four flavors: sweet & tangy, lemon pepper, spice it up, and smokey brown. It is also available for purchase on Amazon, either as individual bottles or in variety packs.

Sienna Sauce remains active on social media, regularly engaging with its followers and celebrating milestones.

The company recently announced the release of a new 140-ounce size targeted at food establishments. With a growing online and in-store presence, Sienna Sauce continues to thrive.

However, some sources do reveal that Sienna Sauce wealth is estimated to be around $1 million. Before making an appearance in the shark tank, the business was valued at $500,000.

Following their “Shark Tank” appearance, the company sold $300,000 worth of products in just 24 hours. Over the course of three years, Sienna Sauce generated $1 million in revenue and expanded its presence to over 500 retailers.
