He completed his high school education at Benton Harbor High School and then pursued a degree at the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado, graduating in 1978.

Reasons Behind Sinbad’s Bankruptcy Filing

In May 2013, Sinbad was compelled to file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy, revealing $131,000 in assets and a staggering $10.99 million in debt. He owed substantial amounts to entities such as American Express, Bank of America, the state of California, and the IRS.

Huge tax debts from the years 1998-2006 accounted for $8.3 million of his liabilities. At the time, his reported monthly income was $16,000, and he still possessed a 2007 BMW 750 and a 2010 Lincoln Navigator. Sinbad’s situation serves as a cautionary tale, emphasizing the significance of maintaining sound financial practices.
