Stephen Bonnar’s Wife, Andrea Brown, Mourns The Death Of Her Husband

Currently, Andrea Brown, the wife of Stephen Bonnar, is grieving over the passing of her spouse.

Stephen Bonnar, a member of the UFC Hall of Fame known for his participation in the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” has sadly passed away.

The UFC revealed the news on Christmas Eve, attributing Bonnar’s death on Thursday to “heart difficulties while at work.”

In a statement, UFC President Dana White said, “Stephan Bonnar was a significant figure in the Octagon. His historic confrontation with Forrest Griffin altered sports history, and he will always be remembered. We will miss him.”

The light heavyweight season finale of The Ultimate Fighter in 2005 showcased one of the greatest battles in UFC history between Bonnar and Griffin at the Cox Pavilion on the UNLV campus in Las Vegas.

Following the epic Griffin-Bonnar fight, a new television deal was negotiated on the arena’s parking lot, improving the company’s fortunes.

With a black belt in jiu-jitsu and a fierce striker, Bonnar was also a charismatic public speaker who excelled in front of an audience.

Despite losing the TUF 1 championship in a split decision to Griffin, Bonnar earned a contract with the UFC. He went on to compete in the organization 15 more times.

His final match took place on November 15, 2014, at Bellator 131, where he was defeated by Tito Ortiz, ending his career with a record of 15-9, including nine finishes.
