She was later taken into custody on February 17 at her residence in Herriman, Utah, on minor offense charges.

Subsequent to Mortensen providing the authorities with Taylor Frankie Paul’s Arrest Video from his cell phone, illustrating the seat striking Indy, the allegations were raised to felony aggravated assault, negligent child mistreatment, and domestic violence in the existence of a child.

Two weeks later, the Salt Lake County District Attorney indicted Paul for two counts of 3rd-degree felony domestic violence in the existence of a child with injury, a Class A misdemeanor of child abuse with injury, and Class B misdemeanor criminal mischief.

She is to appear in court on April 14.

Paul, who boasts more than 4 million followers on TikTok, gained notoriety by sharing content about her daily life, two children, and now-estranged husband.

She startled her followers last summer when she acknowledged that she and her husband were separating because she had crossed the line during a “soft swinging” event involving couples trading partners without engaging in full s*x.

Following her separation from Tate, the father of her children, she began a relationship with Mortensen.

The arrest footage of Taylor Frankie Paul from that night depicts Herriman officers Ben Rugebregt and Alex Felsing knocking on Paul’s door subsequent to receiving a 911 call from a neighbor.

Both Paul and Mortensen, her partner for six months, answered the door, and Mortensen informed the officers that Taylor was “hammered.”

Paul retorted by stating that Mortensen “threw me in the garage.” The officers then separated the couple, escorting Paul outside, where she could be seen crying and slurring her words as law enforcement endeavored to communicate with her.

She asserted that Mortensen had “b****ed her out” all the way home, and she threw objects at him out of fear, claiming he had pushed her first.

She also admitted to the police that she urinated due to fear.

Mortensen informed the police that he had collected Taylor from a girls’ night out, and she was intoxicated.

He mentioned that they had agreed to abstain from alcohol as he is in recovery from addiction.

According to Mortensen, the original plan was to swing by Paul’s residence to pick up her ID before going to the show, but upon his arrival, he realized she was not in a condition to go. He stated that she then became enraged and berated him during the drive back.

Upon returning to her residence, a family member, who had been watching Indy and Paul’s two-year-old son, Ocean, left. Mortensen conveyed that over the subsequent 90 minutes, he attempted to leave her residence to “deescalate” the situation, but Paul hindered him.

She hurled her phone at him, seized his truck keys, mounted the vehicle, and slammed its doors repeatedly. She chucked a wooden play set at him, striking his truck, and vehemently threw heavy metal seats at him, resulting in holes in the walls.

In his statement, Sergeant Rugebregt mentioned that he “witnessed multiple metal seats and other household items on the floor by the front entryway.

The seats appear to have originated from a kitchen island.” Mortensen mentioned that all this aggression took place in front of Indy, while Ocean was asleep upstairs.

He informed the police that he started feeling apprehensive for his safety due to the weight of the seats and stated that one bounced off his shoulder and struck Indy.
