An individual shared an AMA post, from the username u/innocentacquaintance, titled, “I shared a class with Zachary Davis, the 17-year-old recently convicted of matricide with a sledgehammer, and revealed unsettling insights about his time as the murderous teen’s closest pal.” 

Later on, he explains that he was not truly friends with Zachary. He mentioned that there were numerous students at Station Camp High School in Tennessee, but he would run into Zachary since their mothers were friends. 

User innocentacquaintance wrote in a post, “Zach and I were both freshmen together in algebra one class, I remember him quite well.” 

He added, “We were not friends, but I believe I was one of the people who interacted the most with him. His(Zachary) mother and my mother were both friends and knew each other well.

It was reported that Zachary was 15 years old when he took the life of his mother, Melanie, aged 45. Her demise date was recorded as August 10, 2012. 

Melanie’s medical document revealed that she was taken out by a sledgehammer that struck her cranium twelve times. Law enforcement reported that Zachary attempted to eradicate all traces of the crime and, when setting his family residence on fire, he had intended to exterminate his brother, Josh. 

Later, Zachary confessed to eliminating his mother. However, he alleged that his brother had violated him, and their mother had failed to intervene. 

Nevertheless, during a discourse with his classmates, they expressed doubt that Zach would confide the truth about being s*xually abused.

His classmate stated in his testimony that Josh might exhibit hostility, but they found it implausible that Josh would violate him. He concluded that Zach might be fabricating his claims. 

At the court hearing, Zachary did not hesitate and acknowledged that he had caused the demise of his mother. He divulged that he employed the sledgehammer to ensure his mother’s demise. 

In court, he additionally regretted not having extinguished his brother. After deliberating on Zach’s statements, the judiciary sentenced him to 71 years of incarceration.

During Zach’s trial, his schoolmates attested that he seldom engaged in conversation. Zach admitted to softly speaking in class, seemingly attempting to conceal his authentic voice. 

Additionally, his peers remarked that he would frequently occupy himself with gaming on his mobile device throughout the day. They observed that he rarely exhibited any signs of cheerfulness while at school. 

A student remarked, “He was/is 100% mentally unwell; nothing about him changed in a disconcerting manner, he always walked the same, talked(whispered) the same, and sat the same.”

Zachary Davis was convicted of eliminating his mother. He revealed that he used a sledgehammer to obliterate any possibility of his mother’s survival after striking her cranium twelve times with it. 

Many deemed him to pose a threat, and he expressed remorse for not doing away with his brother, Josh. Zachary was sentenced to 71 years in prison. 

In 2012, he was handed the sentence. At present, the Hendersonville teenager is currently serving time in jail.
