Yolanda Dillon Video Shows Last Moments Of Her Before Death

A recording was shared online showing the tragic end of Yolanda Dillon, an Uber driver who was slain by a passenger. Dillon, a 54-year-old breast cancer survivor, tragically lost her life.

Prior to her passing, she resided with her mother, Edna, who is in her 80s and also fighting cancer. Dillon was an active member of her church and worked as a financial budget analyst for NOPD. Additionally, she was pursuing a Ph.D. in sociology.

Yolanda Dillon drove for Uber in the lead-up to Christmas to earn extra income for gifts for her family and the children at her church. She was an active member of St. Paul the Apostle in New Orleans East.

Despite leading a well-balanced life, she tragically lost her life at 54 to a man who had random intentions to commit murder.

Brandon Jacobs, 29 years old, was apprehended for the murder of Uber driver Yolanda Dillon. During interrogation, Brandon admitted to intending to take someone’s life, ultimately resulting in Dillon’s passing.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office disclosed that Brandon had planned to contact and murder an Uber driver, but realized that he would be stranded at a remote location after the deed. As a result, he chose to target the driver who was returning him, who happened to be Yolanda Dillon. According to NOPD Superintendent Shaun Ferguson, Yolanda had been an esteemed colleague for over a decade, and her colleagues were deeply shocked by the news of her passing.

Who Will Miss Yolanda Dillon the Most?

No one cherishes a child more than their mother. Following the tragic loss of Yolanda Dillon, it is her mother, Edna, who will mourn her the most. During an interview, she expressed her anguish regarding her daughter.

Edna remarked, My only child. I ain’t have no other. When your child leaves in the morning, you expect to see them come back. You can’t just take somebody’s life, somebody not doing you nothing.”

Edna was unaware that her daughter had been driving for Uber to supplement her income. However, the police department revealed that Yolanda was exploring different avenues to support her mother and children.

She added, She took very good care. She made my groceries and cooked and bought everything. She paid all my bills and everything. He just left me with nobody.”

All members of Dillon’s church were mourning her loss. The pastor of St. Paul’s, Father Charles Ndumbi, shared a statement praising Dillon’s caring nature.

He emphasized that she continuously offered her assistance to others, all while neglecting her own suffering. He also noted that whenever Yolanda visited the church, the children would flock to her, showing their affection for her.

Ndumbi expressed his shock at hearing the news of her death and reassured that the church would support Yolanda’s mother during this challenging period.

Ndumbi stated, We never know when it will be the time for anyone to go, but going just in this manner, sometimes we ask God why. Only God knows why it happens.”
