Ezra Miller’s Early Years

Ezra Miller, born on September 30, 1992, in Wyckoff, New Jersey, has two older sisters, Saiya and Caitlin. His parents, Robert S. Miller and Marta Miller, have a background in publishing and modern dance, respectively.

Early in his life, he confronted a speech impediment, which led him to receive training as an opera singer from a young age. He subsequently performed with both the Metropolitan Opera and the American premiere of Philip Glass’ White Raven.

Having attended Rockland Country Day School and The Hudson School, the artist chose to leave school at 16 to pursue an acting career. This decision coincided with the release of Afterschool.

Revelations about Religion and Gender Identity

Is Ezra Miller Homosexual?

In 2012, he publicly came out as queer and refrained from using the term ‘queer’ later on, also delving into his gender beliefs.

“Queer simply means no, I don’t conform to traditional gender norms. I don’t identify as male or female. I barely identify as a human,”

Ezra prefers to use pronouns such as they/them, indicating a reluctance to conform to standard gender conventions. This shift contrasts with his previous use of all gender pronouns; however, in 2021, he expressed a preference for them/they, ze, or it.

Initially drawn to males in his youth, he later clarified that he does not exclusively identify as gay. He remarked, “The way I would choose to define myself wouldn’t be gay. I’ve mainly been attracted to ‘she’s,’ but I’ve been involved with various individuals, and I am open to love in any form it may take.”

Ezra also shed light on his social circle and preferences, stating, “… a lot of really wonderful friends who represent diverse sexes and genders. I am not particularly attached to anyone.”
