Amy Grant Niece’s Wedding Is Of Same-Gender: She’s Hosting It

An announcement by Amy Grant regarding her niece’s wedding has gone viral on the internet.

She made it known that she will be the host for her niece’s same-sex wedding.

Amy Grant, a renowned Christian vocalist and lyricist at the age of 62, has expressed her support for the LGBTQ community in recent years.

In a recent interview, she revealed her intention to host her niece’s same-sex wedding.

Amy and her husband, country music star Vince Gill, have arranged for their niece’s wedding to take place at their family farm.

Relating to this, Amy stated that this would be the first occurrence of a bride-bride wedding in their family.

She also expressed her belief that her niece’s same-sex attraction is a blessing.

She stated: “From a faith standpoint, I always say, ‘Jesus, you just narrowed it down to two things: love God and love each other.’ I mean, hey – that’s pretty simple.”

However, Franklin Graham, the founder of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, disapproved of Amy’s announcement. Graham asserted in a social media post: “God defines what is sin [in the bible], not us; and His Word is clear that homosexuality is sin.

Graham has been an outspoken opponent of same-sex weddings and anti-LGBTQ conversion therapy.

Nevertheless, Amy did not receive widespread criticism following Graham’s statement, and many individuals posted messages in support of Grant.

One user expressed gratitude for Amy’s bravery and advocacy for the LGBTQ community.

Another user acknowledged the positive efforts of Amy while noting that everything carries a cost.

Yet another social media user described Amy as “a wonderful example of Christian witness for decades. So many of her songs have helped me through tough times. I’m so sorry that all you can do is judge and condemn. You’ve got the whole gospel wrong. Very sad.”

The same user added, “&Oh, you did NOT just go after Amy Grant! How DARE you criticize someone for showing love?&”

They continued, “She is an amazing woman who has shown more grace and charity than you ever have. You don’t get to judge her or anyone else. I believe that is made perfectly clear in your Bible.”
