Anna Nicole Smith Autopsy Revealed Her Exact Cause Of Death

The autopsy of Anna Nicole Smith revealed the danger of breast enhancement surgery and how it can sometimes result in a fatal outcome.

The deceased was born in Houston in 1967 and had a very modest start.

Prior to gaining fame, she held various low-paying positions, including working as a waitress at Red Lobster, stints at Walmart, and at a fried chicken restaurant.

She ultimately chose to work as a stripper in a Houston club to support her young son.

In 1992, she graced the cover of Playboy magazine and subsequently won the Playmate of the Year award in 1993.

She secured modeling contracts with apparel giant H&M and Guess Jeans, and also appeared in the comedy sequel, ‘Naked Gun 33 & A Third.’

Smith also starred in her own reality show, ‘The Anna Nicole Show,’ which aired on E!.

Her show stirred controversy as Anna often appeared to be intoxicated during filming, sometimes incomprehensible.

Smith was also criticized for her slurred speech while introducing Kanye West during the 2004 American Music Awards.

What is the current whereabouts of Anna Nicole Smith’s children?

Smith had only two children named Dannielynn Birkhead and Daniel Wayne Smith.

On September 10, 2006, her elder son, Daniel, passed away from an accidental overdose at the age of 20.

Her longtime partner, Howard K. Stern, mentioned that she never recovered from Daniel’s sudden demise.

Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter, Dannielynn, was born on September 7, 2006.

She recently completed 11th grade and earned a scholarship for further higher education.

Dannielynn’s father, Larry Birkhead, shared a post on Instagram on Thursday, June 2, 2023, to celebrate his daughter’s academic accomplishments.

In the caption, he stated that she had just completed 11th grade and commended Dannielynn for maintaining a position on the honor roll during “challenging times” for their family.

What led Anna Nicole Smith to develop a dependency on prescription drugs?

Smith’s friend, Missy Byrum, asserted that her addiction to prescription drugs began following her breast enhancement surgery in her early twenties.

Byrum mentioned Vicodin, Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, and Lortabs as part of Anna’s substance abuse.

She also claimed that Anna had been consuming these drugs since the time of her surgery, and nothing could be done to stop it.

Missy alleged that in the early 1990s, Anna was a “full-fledged drug addict,” and according to certain reports, in 1994, she survived an accidental overdose in a Hollywood hotel room.

Anna Nicole Smith found deceased in Florida

Smith’s addiction to prescription drugs claimed her life. On February 8, 2007, she was discovered dead in a hotel room.

The forensic pathologist and Broward County Medical Examiner, Joshua Perper, led the investigation into Anna Nicole Smith’s death and concluded that she succumbed to “combined drug intoxication.”

Report from Anna Nicole Smith’s autopsy

The autopsy report on Anna Nicole Smith revealed that her demise was due to an accidental overdose of a sleeping pill and at least eight other prescriptions.

She had also developed a bacterial infection from injecting medications into her body’s rear end.

Perper stated that Smith’s death resulted from combined drug intoxication, with the sleeping medication chloral hydrate being the primary factor.

Smith had been taking a long list of medications, including methadone, valium, and painkillers, but those medications were at a therapeutic level.

However, Chloral hydrate is a sedative used to treat alcohol withdrawal, insomnia, to alleviate post-surgery pain, and to relieve anxiety.

Dr. Chip Walls, a forensic toxicologist at the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami, mentioned that the medication is seldom prescribed and can be fatal when combined with other drugs, including the sedative Lorazepam, which was confirmed in Anna Nicole Smith’s autopsy to have been in her system.

Perper disclosed that she had also been on several anti-anxiety and antidepressant medications, as well as longevity medicines, vitamin B12, and growth hormone.

According to an assistant medical examiner’s report, a table in Anna’s hotel room contained SlimFast, an open box of Tamiflu tablets, soda cans, cold medication, and nicotine gum.
