Audrey Hale’s Manifesto Found After School Shooting: Reddit

The tragic incident of a mass shooting unfolded at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday, perpetrated by a former student identified by law enforcement as the 28-year-old Audrey Hale.

Hale, possibly an alumnus of the school, carried out the heinous act of terror using two assault rifles and pistols, resulting in the tragic deaths of three 9-year-old children and at least three adults.

While she was engaged in a shootout with the police on the second floor of the school, she met her demise, solidifying her position as the seventh female mass shooter in US history.

Insights into Hale’s life before the shooting are now surfacing. Her association with a website suggests that she worked as a graphic designer and illustrator in Nashville, specializing in crafting logos and branding for businesses.

Norma Hale, her mother, briefly conveyed the family’s sorrow to ABC News. A neighbor characterized Audrey Hale’s parents as “very kind” and “deeply religious,” mentioning that Audrey resided with them in their abode.

Having graduated from Nossi College of Art & Design in 2022, she was touted as a skillful artist and a commendable student by the school’s president and CEO.

A now-deleted post from the college’s Facebook page hinted that she had been honored with at least one accolade for outstanding academic performance.

On her personal site, Hale portrayed herself as someone who takes pleasure in video games, movies, sports, and spending time with her pair of cats.

Her LinkedIn profile also lists her employment as a part-time grocery shopper with the food delivery service Shipt, along with prior experience as a cat sitter.

Although a police spokesperson stated that Audrey was assigned female at birth, her social media profiles used the pronouns he/him.

The Covenant School, the location of the tragic event, is a private Presbyterian school in Nashville catering to approximately 200 students from pre-K through sixth grade.

The shooting has sent shockwaves through the community and the country, sparking demands for measures to address gun violence in America.

As more information about Audrey Hale’s life and motivations comes to light, the calamity prompts contemplation on mental well-being, firearm accessibility, and the necessity for assistance and resources to avert future acts of violence.
