Candice Mitchell, a seasoned actress, and model, passed away on January 1, 2023. She is survived by her family and friends.
Over the course of her career, she worked in London, Tokyo, and Los Angeles during the 1980s and early 1990s. Candice has been a member of SAG and AFTRA since 1988 and rose to prominence in a Wrigley’s Spearmint Gum commercial.
She also made an appearance in the music video for Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin'” in 1989. Following a successful stint as a model and actress, Candice shifted her focus to photography, becoming a professional in the field.
Her clientele included Belle Magazine, Miss New Mexico USA, and Miss Teen New Mexico USA, the Mayor’s Top Teen Magazine, and numerous others. Candice was deeply passionate about art, fashion, and photography, commencing her professional modeling career at the tender age of twelve.

Her husband, Donovan Stevens, reconstructed her initial photo session for their daughter, Micaela Rose, on her twelfth birthday in tribute to their lovely daughter.
Micaela Rose is presently pursuing her own aspirations of becoming a professional model, actress, and vocalist. Candice took great pride in her daughter’s drive and consistently offered her encouragement.
Candice continued to grace the screen from time to time, securing a significant role in the film “Light of Darkness.” The director, Marco Martinez, is remarkable, and the film is currently undergoing post-production.
