Colleen Weaver Missing Raynham Ma: Found Safe In New York City

The teenager Colleen Weaver was located safe late Thursday night in New York City. The 16-year-old, who departed from her Raynham residence nine days earlier, was reported missing.

The Raynham Police Department announced that the FBI and the New York City Police Department aided in finding her around 11 p.m.

According to law enforcement, she was discovered “by investigative means.”

“We are so relieved to have Colleen back,” expressed her father Casey Weaver on Facebook Friday morning. “All of you have a deep place in our hearts. Words can’t convey how much we appreciate you all… so many people to thank publicly and behind the scenes.”

In a collective statement, her family expressed their “profound relief” that she was safe.

“We respectfully request privacy at this time to focus on Colleen,” they expressed.

On Thursday night, the Raynham community gathered for a candlelight vigil, praying for Colleen’s return.

During the early hours of Tuesday, October 18, Colleen went missing between 1 and 4 a.m., according to her mother.

“We just smiled at each other, did a little wave,” Kristen Weaver said. “She was half asleep. She just went into her room and that was it.”

As part of their inquiry, the authorities believed she was 100 miles away from Raynham with an individual.

The investigation is in its initial stages, and no further information can be provided at this time.

The location of Coleen was unknown when the authorities discovered her.

With the assistance of the FBI, the New York City Police located Colleen’s position approximately 200 miles away at around 11 p.m. When the authorities managed to locate Colleen, the FBI supported them in determining her position.

After Colleen’s mother, Kristen Weaver, saw Colleen on October 18th, the police became aware of Colleen’s vanishing. Colleen’s mother further expounded that Colleen has a neurological condition that makes her challenging to manage.

Evidently, Colleen Weaver’s disappearance from Raynham Ma ensued after she encountered an older man online who posed as a teenage boy.

The police chief of Raynham stated that Colleen was likely in the company of another person. As of yet, no additional information has been uncovered about the individual who impersonated a teenager.

Consequently, the authorities have not been able to disclose any more details about Colleen’s whereabouts.

According to sources, the authorities had speculated that Colleen had been left with an individual when Special Agent of the FBI Boston Charge Joseph R. Bonavolonta reported that Colleen had been found.
