Christopher Collins, an actor and Iowa native, made his acting debut in the 1976 film “All the President’s Men” as Hugh Sloan, a real-life figure who served as the accountant for Richard Nixon’s campaign committee in 1972.

Three years later, he portrayed Captain Willard Decker in “Star Trek: The Motion Picture”. Collins has also appeared in films such as “Blood Diamond,” “The Big Picture,” “The First Wives Club,” and “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.” He turned 67 on October 1st.

Christopher Collins was considered for the role played by Ryan O’Neal in the movie “Love Story,” but he had already committed to another production, according to People magazine.
