Jung signed with the Rangers on July 3, 2019, for a $4.4 million signing bonus. He made his professional debut for the Rookie-level Arizona League Rangers on July 10, 2019, hitting a home run in his first at-bat. On February 23, 2022, Jung underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. At the end of July, he returned to action, initially joining the Arizona Complex League Rangers’ rehab squad for eight games before heading back to Round Rock in August. He recorded a batting average of 273 with six homers and 24 RBIs in 23 games for Round Rock. The Rangers added Jung to their roster from Triple-A on September 9, 2022, and he made his Major League debut on that day.
