Leslie Allen Jordan, born on April 29, 1955, passed away on October 24, 2022. He was an American actor, writer, and singer.
Leslie portrayed characters in Will & Grace (2001–2006, 2017–2020), which are two of his most well-known roles. The latter earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series in 2006.
One of his most recognized theatre performances was as Earl “Brother Boy” Ingram in the drama Sordid Lives.
Leslie Jordan also starred in the successful cult film of the same name. During the 2020 pandemic, he gained fame on Instagram, eventually amassing 5.8 million followers.

On October 24, 2022, at approximately 9:30 a.m. PDT, while driving to the Call Me Kat set in Hollywood, Jordan’s car collided directly into the side of a building at the intersection of Cahuenga Boulevard and Romaine Street.
The accident was attributed to a potential medical crisis he experienced. Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene at the age of 67.
An autopsy report from January 2023 stated that “sudden cardiac dysfunction” was the cause of Jordan’s death.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office determined that arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease was Jordan’s immediate cause of death.
Jordan did not have any traces of drugs or alcohol in his system. He had been sober for over twenty years before his demise.

In 1986, Jordan made his acting debut on The Fall Guy as Malone. His small stature and distinctive Southern accent boosted his instant popularity. He portrayed Mr. Blackly, the editor of the local newspaper, in the film The Help.
By 2007, he appeared on the CW’s Ugly Betty and the network’s short-lived drama Hidden Palms as Jesse Joe and celebrity trashier Quincy Combs.
He was the star of the premiere episode of Laugh Out, the first interactive gay-themed comedy show.
Jordan joined the cast of the fourteenth season of the British television game show Celebrity Big Brother on August 18, 2014.
He was the second evictee from the Big Brother house on August 29, 2014. In January 2015, Jordan appeared as Buck A. Roo in two British comedy series, Benidorm episodes.
On November 1, 2017, Jordan appeared in the new Sky Original Production, Living the Dream, a British television drama co-produced by Sky and Big Talk Productions.
He appeared in the 2018-2019 season of the Fox comedy The Cool Kids alongside Martin Mull, Vicki Lawrence, and David Alan Grier.
On April 2, 2020, Jordan became a series regular on the Fox sitcom Call Me Kat, joining Mayim Bialik, Swoosie Kurtz, Kyla Pratt, and Cheyenne Jackson in the role of Phil. The series first aired in January 2021.
In the same year, Jordan appeared as a guest panelist and performed “This Little Light of Mine” as “Soft Serve” on season six, episode five.
He returned for seasons seven and eight as a panel guest. One of his final works was a Lego Masters holiday episode that aired after his passing.
