The most recent episode of The Neighborhood differed from its previous ones. While one typically feels uplifted when watching the show, the mood turned somber due to the sudden passing of one of the show’s crew members, Mark Adrian. 

The twelfth episode of season 5 (Welcome To The Bachelor Party) was released on Monday, February 6. It paid tribute to the crew member of the sitcom, Mark Adrian.

Upon the episode’s airing, viewers of the sitcom tweeted their condolences for the late crew member.

IATSE Local 728, an organization committed to Motion Picture Lighting for almost a century, confirmed that the late technician passed away on January 5, 2023, at the age of 58.

Mark Adrian worked in Hollywood as an electrician and lighting technician. He was the primary lighting technician on 16 episodes of the last season of The Neighborhood and was with the show from 2021 to 2022, although he did not return for the fifth season.

In addition to The Neighborhood, Mark Adrian was involved in other well-known TV shows and films. In 2014, Adrian served as the assistant lead lighting technician for the culinary film, Chef.

From 2004 to 2007, Adrian worked as an electrician and lighting board technician on Unfabulous, the Nickelodeon show that propelled Emma Roberts to stardom. 

During the same period, Adrian was also involved in another Nickelodeon show, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.
