The enigma encompassing the Michael Brett homicide case has not yet been unraveled.

Tracy Jones, employed as a secretary at Caldern Pinkston and Associates, was involved. Gail Spencer was responsible for wire transfers and served as the office manager at the same company.

Although Tracy Jones was trained to carry out wire transfers, she still lacked the necessary authorization. Driven by greed, Tracy chose to embezzle funds from the company’s escrow account.

She assembled a group to execute the theft, including Michael Brett Kelly, her acquaintance Anthony Dozier, and her relative Courtney Kelly.

The original plan was to conduct a kidnapping and heist, but it ultimately culminated in a sexual assault and homicide. Gail Spencer became the victim of the murder.

Where can Michael Brett now be found?

Michael Brett Kelly, 19 years old at the time, committed the homicide of Gill Spencer. As a result, he was imprisoned and given the death penalty.

Michael pleaded guilty and consequently managed to avoid the death penalty, under the condition that he would testify against Courtney, Jones, and Dozier.

Courtney Kelly and Tracy Jones aligned with Michael and pleaded guilty to the offense. In November 2013, the trio received a life sentence in prison from superior court judge Tillman Self.

The district attorney remarked, “We are simply appreciative of achieving justice for Gail Spencer, her family, and the community, in relation to three of the four defendants. If the attorney had not fallen ill earlier this year, we would have concluded the proceedings roughly a month ago.”

Courtney had the possibility of parole, while the other three were condemned to life imprisonment without the chance of parole. According to reports, Michael Brett did not contest his plea or sentence. He will continue to be incarcerated in Hancock state prison for the remainder of his life.

During the kidnapping, Michael attempted to asphyxiate Gail Spencer but was unsuccessful. In the course of suffocation, Gill Spencer perished. Keith claimed in court that she attempted to prevent Michael from killing her.

The couple departed the residence at approximately 4:00 pm. The neighbors grew suspicious as Gail’s dog was barking outside. The authorities forcibly entered Gail’s residence and discovered him deceased.
