Peggy Ann Griffin Jordan, aged 86, of Chattanooga, passed away on May 17, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.
She will be remembered by her daughter, Jana Lynn Jordan, and son Leslie Allen Jordan.
In addition to her children, Peggy is survived by her sister Dorothy Griffin Kelley, her niece Lynn Griffin Grimsley, and her brother-in-law, Chattanooga’s Mack Jordan, Jr.
Peggy lived a fulfilled life, adored by everyone who knew her, and treasured her relationships with her family and friends.
A graveside service at the Chattanooga National Cemetery was led by Jeff Davis on May 24, 2022, at 2:00 pm.

In an interview with Today, Jordan described his mother, Peggy Ann, as compassionate and patient, despite never truly getting to know him.
Jordan, who began using Instagram during the pandemic, frequently shared pictures and anecdotes about his mother on social media.
He had returned to his home in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to be close to her.
Upon learning of her passing, Jordan wrote a note in remembrance of his mother,
‘Although Mama is no longer with us, her stories will continue to live in our hearts. Mama, you are and always will be cherished. Leslie, with love and light,’ he wrote.
