Preston Davis, the target of Jeffrey Dahmer, made an appearance on Dr. Phil’s show and opened up about their encounters. It was a highly emotional segment.

Dr. Phil McGraw interviewed multiple Milwaukee serial killer survivors for his three-day series on Jeffrey Dahmer and his victims. Rita Isbell and Billy Capshaw also made their small screen debuts during this episode.

McGraw informed TMZ that the decision of Netflix to produce its drama series, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, deeply upset many of the families of Dahmer’s victims.

Many individuals assert that watching the show caused them to reopen past wounds. Billy Capshaw and Preston Davis alleged to have crossed paths with Dahmer while he was in the army, and McGraw summarized their allegations.

The men contended that their accounts were omitted from the Netflix show. They claimed that Dahmer had assaulted, battered, and tormented them but that the military had concealed the crimes.

The talk show host aims to provide a platform for those most affected by Dahmer’s appalling actions to voice their opinions during his three-day series, according to TMZ.

McGraw will feature an interview with Dahmer’s father, Lionel Dahmer, and a meeting with the killer’s victims. They will focus particularly on his son’s early years.

What Was Revealed in the Initial Part?

The first part of Dr. Phil’s three-day special, which aired on Tuesday, November 15, included Rita Isbell, the sister of the slain victim Errol Lindsey, as well as Dahmer victims Capshaw and Preston Davis.

Isbell expressed her sympathy for Capshaw and Davis during the incredibly emotional episode by stating she feels terrible for the two men.

She shared that she was shedding tears for them at that moment. Isbell also called out Ryan Murphy, the creator of the popular Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story Netflix series.

Isbell claimed Murphy had not reached out to her regarding her family, despite the fact that the show has faced criticism for sensationalizing Dahmer’s life.

What Occurred with Preston Davis?

Preston Davis, at the age of 20, accused Jeffrey of s*xually assaulting him between October 5 and October 25, 1979, while they were both working in the field together.

In a statement released on Protect Our Defenders, Preston stated that during three or four days, while he was isolated and alone with Jeffrey, who he described as a racist, he was s*xually attacked, which included p*netration.

Preston informed TheWrap that the individual was racist, and as he started drinking, he became very unpleasant.

Preston believes he was under the influence of a substance due to his memory lapses during the periods spent with Jeffrey Dahmer.

Preston confirmed to TheWrap that Jeffrey admitted to having killed someone in the past and would brag about it when inebriated.

Shortly after the assault, Preston left the unit he was serving with, and his standing as an outstanding soldier was significantly tarnished. In May 1986, he was discharged with honors. The now 63-year-old Preston Davis has viewed the Netflix series.

Regarding the adaptation, he remarked, ‘I think they did a good job. I wasn’t triggered by it. I’ve made progress thanks to therapy. I now have greater compassion or empathy for the families of the victims.’
