Rapper Takeoff succumbed to injuries from gunfire to the head and body as a result of a shooting at a private gathering in a downtown Houston bowling alley, authorities revealed on Wednesday.
The revelation came after an examination conducted by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences in Houston.
This development comes as law enforcement authorities continue to seek the cooperation of the public in apprehending the individual or individuals responsible for the rapper’s untimely demise on Tuesday.
As per the autopsy report, rapper Takeoff passed away from gunshot wounds to the head and body after being shot in the early hours of Tuesday morning outside a private party at a downtown Houston bowling alley, according to investigators.
The primary cause of Takeoff’s demise was documented as “Penetrating gunshot wounds of head and chest into arm,” and his death was ruled as a homicide.
According to the Houston County Coroner’s office, the gunshots also penetrated his arm.
What Led to His Passing?
Takeoff, a member of the Migos, departed on November 1 at the age of 28.
Police Chief Troy Finner announced during a press briefing on Tuesday that Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was tragically shot while attending a private function at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas.
According to investigator Michael Arrington, two more individuals were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to TMZ, the shooting took place at Houston’s downtown 810 Billiards and Bowling.
Around 40 to 50 individuals were present at the party, and the shooting occurred at approximately 2:40 in the morning.
Takeoff and Quavo were both present during the shooting. Following a physical altercation that erupted after a private event, where Takeoff’s nephew was shot, pictures showed him kneeling beside his nephew.
While Quavo emerged unscathed, his nephew was declared deceased at the location.
