Aged 55, Price was not only a valued coach, but also a former Aggie player and top-notch recruiter.
In 2012, he joined the team’s coaching staff and made significant contributions to the team’s success, resulting in 21 bowl berths during his illustrious career.
Regrettably, the cause of his demise is currently unknown.
An Illustrious Coaching Career in the SEC
Price was a renowned coach for the defensive line in the Southeastern Conference, with two periods at Ole Miss (1995-98 and 2009-11) and ten seasons at Auburn (1999-2008) before returning to Texas A&M.
He served as Kevin Sumlin’s assistant before Jimbo Fisher took over.
Price’s coaching expertise significantly benefited the Aggies’ defensive line, helping them lead the SEC in defense in 2020 and secure a No.4 season-ending rank.
Price excelled as an exceptional recruiter, acknowledged by both Rivals.com and 247Sports.com in 2014 as a Top 25 and No. 12 overall recruiter in the nation, respectively.
His impact on the Aggies was undeniable, as he masterfully recruited five-star DL standouts Myles Garrett (2014), Daylon Mack (2015), DeMarvin Leal (2019), and Justin Madubuike (2016), contributing significantly to the team’s success.
Notably, he coached Quentin Groves, who holds the record for all-time sacks leader in Auburn’s history.

Price was a four-year Aggie football letterman and played for the Aggies from 1986-1989, earning All-Southwest Conference honors as a senior and being named an honorable mention All-American by The Sporting News.
He led the Aggies’ defensive line in tackles both as a junior and a senior while earning two conference championships during his career.
He even played two seasons with the Chicago Bears and the Miami Dolphins in the NFL before returning to Aggieland in 1992 to complete his undergraduate degree.
Terry began his football coaching career as a volunteer under Coach Slocum’s staff.

Following his untimely passing, Price’s wife, Kenya, and their two sons, Alexander and Devin, were left to carry on without him.
However, the family found some comfort as Devin, inspired by his late father, pursued football.
He played for the Aggies for three years before transferring to Florida Atlantic University this past offseason.
