It’s no wonder that Hailey Bieber is currently trending on Twitter once again, with her decade-old posts from 2011 resurfacing, showing her support for her now-husband Justin Bieber and his then-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
She openly expressed her support for the couple, even referring to them as the “embodiment of a teenage fantasy”. Her tweets revealed an unapologetic admiration for Selena and endorsement of Justin, including describing her as “impeccable” and him as “Bieber”.
Hailey Baldwin (now Hailey Bieber) had been a staunch supporter of the couple until May 2013 when Gomez released her single “Come & Get It”, which she appropriately labeled as “HOT”. Who would have predicted that after 8 years, all three individuals would find themselves in different relationships in such an ironic twist?
This recent resurgence of Hailey’s tweets has triggered discussions online and earned her some criticism from Jelenators who desire the continued togetherness of their favorite couple. However, reality sometimes does not align with our hopes, and this circumstance is no exception!
The founder of Rhode Skin had been emphatic about being part of “team #Jelena” back then and had tweeted favorably about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s relationship before it ended in 2018. Images of her posing on a red carpet with a teen magazine featuring the two also came to light.
What garnered more attention recently was Gomez’s response to the speculation that she and Hailey had dyed each other’s eyebrows. Kylie Jenner, who is friends with both celebrities, intervened to suggest that it was unnecessary to make something out of nothing, to which Gomez nodded in agreement.
Both Selenators and supporters of Justin seemed content until they realized that Gomez had subtly defended her friend Taylor Swift against rumors following their publicized breakup in 2017.
