Zendaya’s Net Worth: What Did She Make For Each Role?

The lead of the most recent Spiderman film series and HBO’s Euphoria has quickly become one of Hollywood’s greatest strengths.

Just after an Emmy Win, Zendaya’s career has soared over the past few years.

From her beginnings as a dancer-turned-Disney-star, Zendaya has certainly become a force to be reckoned with.

What Is Zendaya’s Wealth?

CelebrityNetWorth predicts that Zendaya’s income as a film and television star has amassed a fortune of $15 million.

Having been in the spotlight since 2009, it is not surprising that Zendaya’s wealth is as high as it is for someone who is still relatively young.

Thanks to her success in the Marvel Universe, on television, and, most recently, in Dune and Malcolm & Marie, it is safe to say that Zendaya is one of the richest celebrities of her generation.

How Much Does She Earn From Each Project?

It is unclear how much the actress is paid for her leading role in Euphoria

Before being cast in the show in 2019, sources say her fortune was $5 million. Therefore, many assume the show contributed a decent amount to her overall income.

In Euphoria, Zendaya plays a teen recovering drug addict Rue, who finds that love is the only thing keeping her sober.

She received great acclaim for her portrayal of the character in the show’s first season and is the youngest actress to win a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a drama series, winning in 2020.

The show’s long-awaited second season is set to premiere in January 2022, and it seems as though Rue’s recent heartbreak has led her down the very path she was trying to stay away from.

Her role in Dune may have been small, but it is certainly not insignificant. She has been estimated to receive $300,000 for her appearance in Dennis Villeneuve’s adaptation of the beloved sci-fi novel.

The director has said Zendaya will have a much prominent role in the film’s sequel, so it is safe to assume she will be given a hefty paycheck for her portrayal of the protagonist.

Zendaya’s true breakout film role came with her being cast as MJ in the Tom Holland-led Spiderman films.

She has played the role since her introduction in 2017 with Spider-Man: Homecoming and was recently seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

For her portrayal as Peter Parker’s love interest, it has been reported that Zendaya made $2 million for the franchise’s third film, earning between $2 million and $3 million less than co-star and off-screen boyfriend, Tom Holland.

For his status as the new Spider-man, Holland reportedly earned $250,000 for his debut in Captain America: Civil War and $500,000 for the first Spider-Man installment.

Some sources believe he earns between $3 million and $4 million for every Marvel project.

That said, many believe Zendaya has the edge over the British star due to her role as Rue and her expanded storyline in Dune 2.

These three projects have been significant for Zendaya’s overall wealth, which is likely to increase as she is offered more lucrative roles in the future.

How Is She Managing Her Wealth?

In an interview with British Vogue, Zendaya was open about her response to her boom in wealth, saying her financial situation is a topic that comes up in therapy sessions.

“The hope is to have a career where you can be in a position, financially, to just do things you want to do because you enjoy the work and not have to worry about the other things,” she admitted. “But I’m always like, ‘I will always need to work.’ Because if I don’t work then everything can be gone tomorrow.”

Zendaya was honest about how her financial stress stems from both parents, adding:

“My mother’s a saver, and so I try to keep that in mind [and] my dad’s like, ‘You know, you can’t spend it when you’re dead,’ kind of thing. I’m somewhere in between.” She added, “The hope is to have a career where you can be in a position, financially, to just do things you want to do because you enjoy the work and not have to worry about the other things… But I’m always like, ‘I will always need to work.’ Because if I don’t work then everything can be gone tomorrow.”

Whether or not Zendaya earns from social media posts is not known, but if her Instagram account is any indication, she probably gets paid from her brand endorsements.

Brands she has promoted online include Tommy Hilfiger, Beats by Dre, Bvlgari, Dolce and Gabbana, Cover Girl, Valentino, and Lancôme.

Zendaya also has her own shoe collection, Daya by Zendaya, which she has a decent cut of. It is not known how much she earns for each endorsement.

Her massive wealth does not mean that Zendaya refuses to give back to the community. On social media and in interviews, she is vocal about her support for the Black Lives Matter movement. She often speaks up about her charitable efforts to improve the lives of Black women and the larger Black community.

Her efforts have been widely known thanks to her partnership with UNICEF over the course of her career.

In terms of assets, The Daily Mail reported that in March 2020, Zendaya had purchased a $4 million home in Los Angeles containing six bedrooms, a guest house and a spa.

She previously owned a $1.4 million house in 2017.
